You have built something good. The pipeline does not show it yet.

Usually it is one of a few things. Marketing was never really built, because the product was carrying the company and nobody needed it to be. Or it was built for a company you have since outgrown. Or it is busy, running campaigns and posting content, without being pointed at anything in particular.

The fix is rarely more activity. It is deciding what you are actually selling, who feels the problem sharply enough to pay for it, and why they should believe you over the alternative. Then building the engine that repeats it.

How I work

Executive judgment. Flexible execution.

The goal is not to put a senior executive in the weeds of every channel. It is to apply senior judgment to the decisions that matter, build the operating system around them, and direct the right mix of internal talent, specialist agencies, operators and AI-enabled workflows.

  1. 01 Diagnose

Identify the constraint: market, message, product, buyer, channel, funnel, team or economics.

  2. 02 Decide

Prioritize the few choices most likely to create commercial and enterprise value.

  3. 03 Mobilize

Translate strategy into a focused plan and assemble the right resources around the work.

  4. 04 Direct

Set the cadence, standards, metrics and decision rules that keep execution connected to the strategy.

  5. 05 Scale

Add specialist capacity and automation where they create leverage, not drag.

As an advisor

Currently advising investors on portfolio companies: where the positioning is off, where the pipeline is leaking, and where a different route to market would open things up.

AI

Put AI to work where it creates commercial leverage.

I use AI as part of the operating system for growth, not as a substitute for strategy or judgment.

On the brand side

That means helping you become easier to find, understand and trust across search, answer engines and generative AI. It means structuring content so your buyers can get to the right answers faster, build confidence earlier and enter sales conversations better informed.

On the demand side

I use practical AI workflows to accelerate market mapping, identify and qualify likely prospects, surface buying signals, prioritize accounts and sharpen outreach. Done well, that creates more focus for your sales teams and shortens the path from initial interest to a qualified conversation.

AI increases speed, coverage and pattern recognition. Human judgment still determines which markets matter, which signals are meaningful, how the message should change and where resources should go.

The goal is not more AI. It is better commercial decisions, made faster.

About

A senior operating perspective, and the right people around it.

I am a CMO and growth executive who gets involved when a technology company has created a valuable product or service but needs to turn it into a much stronger commercial growth engine. I have done that as an operator, through M&A and portfolio work, and increasingly as a strategic advisor.

Companies often need senior commercial judgment before they need, or can justify, another permanent executive. That is the gap Equistrat fills. Depending on the engagement I bring in specialists, operators and agencies assembled around the problem rather than a fixed staffing model.
